update

In case you are wondering how we are doing - we are safe in a small-town called Keystone, South Dakota. We will be visiting Mount Rushmore on Thursday morning and then head to Des Moines, Iowa. The past three days, we have seen some tough driving, as we navigated our way over the Rocky Mountains, through snow-country. We are a little travel-weary and spotty cell-phone signal/wi-fi has made it difficult to stay in touch with everyone.

The vistas have been totally amazing and cannot be described in words or images. A wide-angle lens or some movie equipment could help but we have been driving through places that could easily make the National Georgraphic.

The children have been great sports through this whole trip and other than some meltdowns towards the end of the day, we have cheerful kids. Our most popular game has been "I spy" as we point out unfamiliar objects to them.

More as we go...
