We have finally made contact. With the waters of the Pacific.
Bad weather, worse traffic and some discord, on wheels, happened in the process. And we touched the waters a day later than we were originally planning to. But when we finally did, all the bad energy washed away. And we were left with sand in our shoes.
So officially the first leg of the trip is over - we have driven cross-country, cross-continent. We are in the Golden State.
