We have all been to LA before, so the usual attraction of doing touristy things was not there. However, the kids and Mamta wanted to go out to the beach. It would have been a logical way to end the westward journey. The rain gods, however, conspired against that. So, we ended up spending the time with Amitabh and Sunita, old friends from architecture school in Delhi and Angelinos of long-standing and their sons Adit and Avik. We go back a long time - north of two decades - and it was wonderful reconnecting.
